`Constant rain over the weekend has left many roads in Lagos, Nigeria flooded.
Local residents in the Lekki and Victoria Island area woke up on Saturday morning to see flooding in their homes, and on their roads, with cars submerged under water.
The state government issued a statement urging residents in affected areas to stay at home .
Some residents brave enough to step out of their front doors, saw themselves sinking into the stagnant water, with the extra brave swimming in it, to get to their various destinations.
Another was spotted kayaking across Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, a usually bustling business district.
Just when the residents thought things couldn’t get any worse, a crocodile was seen creeping out of the swamps and was later killed.
So to all those in the affected Lagos areas, probably best to stay in until the water subsides
