According to Forbes:

It’s hard to believe Prince George is old enough to be going to school, but the four-year-old arrived at Thomas’s Battersea for his first day of full-time education on Thursday morning.

The special moment was captured by photographers outside the primary school in south west London. Dressed in a navy v-neck pullover, matching school shorts, black socks and shoes, there were few signs of first day nerves from the four-year-old, though he looked a little shy.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is expecting her third child, was not well enough to join her son and husband.

The royal couple (pictured with Prince George and Princess Charlotte

A spokesperson from Kensington Palace had stated earlier:

“Unfortunately The Duchess of Cambridge remains unwell, and will not be able to accompany Prince George on his first day of school. The Duke of Cambridge will drop off Prince George this morning as planned.”

The school has 543 pupils aged from 4 to 13 and according to The Good Schools Guide, it has ‘all the facilities for a broad curriculum.’ It is said to have ‘great science labs,’ a new music centre, two art studios, lots of sport and ‘outstanding’ drama classes with ‘huge productions by each year group being put on over the year’. It sounds like there’s plenty to keep the young Prince busy,

(Princess Charlotte will reportedly start nursery in the coming months, possibly at Thomas’s.)
